I just needed to ask the public if they feel the same way but does anyone else feel surprised we have not picked up a commitment this week? Usually very year you get 2 or 3 that commit on the spot. Thoughts and opinions?

This camp set up a few private visits in the very close future. Be on alert on what will likely happen this coming weekend.

Not really surprised at no commitments because I've come to expect many of the high-level recruits will wait now-a-days, but am surprised about how quiet it seems overall just after a camp.

I did expect one or two but not that surprised because now we are getting down to some of the big boys who will wait until end of season to commit or until NSD. I still expect us to pick up about 5 more by end of HS season. The big trophies are still feeling out where the competition is going and unfortunately some will just try to see who will suck up the most...

Nope, not really. We didn't receive a single commit after last years camp.

Echoing what Camden said. Word is that a commit or two will happen this coming week. I know y'all hate this but a few possible silent commits happened. Just have to have those private family visits (touring the facilities, talking to coaches one last time etc) alluded to earlier and it'll be made public.

And to the OP, camp was very productive for us this year. Ronnie Harrison had a blow up performance and supposedly we made a great impression. So even though we didn't get a public commit, we made headway with quite a few guys.

Echoing this... We definitely made up ground on UGA with Donte Jackson. Having him hang around Xavier and Tyron made quite an impression. Those three are becoming close and Xavier is definitely recruiting both

I am. Really thought Drake was gonna get an offer and commit on the spot. I also thought Higby was gonna leave camp as a commit. And I felt Deshawn Raymond and Greedy Williams were strong possibles to commit. Surprised not even 1 of those things happened.

Drake has a private meeting scheduled with the coaches this week to discuss his grades and such. Offer will probably come then.

Likely this. Give him his offer, he may commit, but say this is where we expect your grades to be in December, this is where we expect your grades to be next summer. Must stress academics as the coaches to do not like it when they put their eggs in a basket and then they cant qualify.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but with Valentine making it in this is the 2nd year in a row all of our signees have qualified.

They simply don't want anymore Fehoko, Liggins or Peterson situations. Even John Thomas they didn't let sign with us.
