Bass fishing is frustrating.

Fished a tournament today out of Manchac. Rode long canal to Tangipahoa river and had 2 fish (2 pounds each) before 8. Fished hard in the heat and didn't get another hit. I threw everything I had in my tackle box. We think we are doing good until a buddy of mine (fishing the same places we are) has 12 pounds! My mind is blown. /rant

It can definitely be tough, but man I love it!

Nah, not high. It wasn't ideal, but not as bad as it has been after all the rain a few weeks back. Contemplated just going to the lake and drowning my sorrows in miller lite, but I was $60 invested

I feel your pain.

Launched in at 6AM, pulled 3 out real quick and then it was like the light switch flipped off. I covered a shitload of water without a bite until 10:30 then hung it up.

Me & Geauxt went yesterday & fished a lot of fine looking cypress trees with no luck. After it got a little later we found a pattern that the bass was in bout a foot of water beside a small stick up. WTF

I've caught most of my bass this summer in 2-3 ft flats in grass.

Caught both of mine on reflex hits in less than a foot of water. My buddy had a 3 pounder slam his buzz bait and spit the hook. I could see the desperation in his eyes after that he then proceeded to get caught up in every tree on the river. It was just not a good day.

Is that why they looked so surprised? They weren't expecting any anglers to find them in 1 ft mud flats?

Maybe so cause we sure were
Damness thing I've seen in awhile
We was just wondering what could have happened if we'd figured them out early
