If you look at the middle east there really isn't an area that can be flown over.

Well many people hope that the people on the ground would have the decency and humanity to not fricking shoot down an unarmed aircraft full of innocent people. It's something that can't be avoided really. Most of the combatants lack SAMs sophisticated enough to shoot down an airliner at cruising altitude though.
The people that shoot down airliners should be hunted down and executed.
