So Charter has the Longhorn network but no plans for the SEC Network.

Cable companies won't comment on a channel they don't offer because they are probably in the middle of negotiations with that network. I expect them to be silent on it until one morning you wake up and bam... SEC network.

Unlike Direct TV reps who will comment. I spoke to one the other day and he said that they were originally considering adding the PAC-12 Network to their sports package. However, inquiries related to the SEC Network outnumbered those for the PAC-12 by a ratio of 9-1. Based on those figures Direct TV decided to enter into negotiations with Disney. He was confident that they would have it before it launches next month.

Remember that the ESPN/ABC package is coming up at the end of September, this is key in the negotiations cause they can say "well if you don't take SECN, we will take away all of the abc/disney/espn channels".. so i'd guess everyone will have it by 9/30
