I tried. But after the first 5 pages talking about his dad's biceps I quit reading and never went back. Does it get better?

It's an awesome read. A great book to read right before the season. I love the part where he talks about pulling up to Tiger Stadium for the USC game in 1979.

He talks about the bus ride and how everyone is ready to unleash Hell, then the bus stops and one of guys at the front hollers and as John Ed puts it, "it was time to be an animal again".

Goosebumps.

At the time the author left LSU, in '79, it in fact, very seldom did rain on a Saturday, game night, in Tiger Stadium. That myth has been busted as of the last 30 years.

One of the most fun times of my life. LSU was playing ULM and it was pissing so hard you could barley see the other side of the stadium. Over the loud speaker..... Chance of rain NEVER!!! The student section went bonkers.

Was it the ASU game about a decade ago early in the season when it was raining buckets? I was a student, early 2000s, my memory is fuzzy on the exact team, pretty sure it was a PAC team. But was a blast

pretty sure that was Oregon state. It rained like hell and they delayed kick off for a while.

I was at the Miami game back in the '80's when they handed us our arse. It was raining sideways, a real hurricane.

I always bring a breathable rain suit and ziplock bag for my wallet and cell just in case.

I remember going to a game against Rice as a student in the 80's. One of my favorite games ever, the score was like 70 - 0. And the rain was falling so hard I lost a contact lol.
