Former teammate Michael Robinson, who’s currently working for NFL Network, said on the air moments ago that Lynch said he’ll hold out.

The move exposes Lynch to $30,000 per day in fines, along with (after five days) partial forfeiture of his $6 million signing bonus.

In 2012, Lynch signed a four-year, $30 million contract. He’s due to earn $5.5 million in 2014, with a cap number of $7 million.

I always side with football players on holdouts. Their careers are much more likely to be over in an instant and they are the only ones with non guaranteed deals. Teams can cut you if you underperform your deal so why shouldn't a player hold out when he overperforms it?

Who said he overperformed and didn't meet expectations instead?

Any Seahawks fans (or anyone) with any insight on whether Seattle will give him what he wants?

It's the kind of shot teams have to deal with after a SB win. Everyone saw the D get paid. Lynch is their best player on O and wants to be paid as such. Won't be upset if it causes issues

How will you feel when Spencer Ware is taking the Saints to pound town in the playoffs?

Meh.

He's a RB, albeit a damn good one. They'll probably pay him.

I'd say a beer, but I'm not driving out to Hammond unless I have an audit out there. Place is the definition of boring.

I'm in BR half the week and Hammond the other half to spice it up

Ew, frick that gas mileage. I did that for a while, when I worked at that Canes right off the interstate. Eff that noise now, I'm glad to keep my happy arse in BR. For the first time in 6-7 years I have Sundays off. I've got my Tom Brady Mullet shirt ready to roll for Walk-Ons every Sunday!
