I have a bunch of tenderized steaks left from last season and I want to try to make jerky out of them. I only have and oven to do this in. Does anyone have a good oven jerky recipe they don't mind sharing? I did it before in college and they turned out all right, but I thought is turn to the OB for help on this one. TIA

You gonna hang from oven racks on low temp?

soy sauce and/or liquid amino, lemon juice, pepper, garlic, Worcestershire, olive oil, and a can or bottle of Coca Cola. Very hard to mess it up

I planned on laying the pieces down after slicing them into strips

Soak it in that concoction and then cook on 200 for about 8 hours?

Brown sugar, coarse ground black pepper, Dijon mustard are must-haves. Everything else is cosmetic.

I don't dry mine out all the way. I usually vaccum seal it and toss it in the freezer once it's done. I don't know about cook time. As long as it isn't raw, it's done enough. I do mine on a smoker at about 225, so I don't know about oven times.

Soak it overnight and it really depends on your oven and if you are hanging it in the racks. Check it every few hours

Don't overthink it. Salt, sugar and black pepper.

Throw it between a couple of A/C filters and strap it to the back of a box fan and check it every couple of hours after the first 3.

If you want to step it up, let that fan draw some smoke from hickory or pecan smoldering.
