Whether it be Plexus, Mary Kay, It Works!, Amway, or any of that... should I simply block them, ignore them, or call them out on how these are pyramid schemes that are not actually as advertised?

It's super annoying

One Facebook "friend" makes at least 4-5 posts a daya bout Plexus. Today she posted how her upline is getting her Lexus today from Plexus as proof that it works. What my Facebook "friend" probably doesn't realize is that the Lexus is likely a lower end model leased by Plexus in their name, and therefore Plexus has every right to take it away once her upline fails to meet a sales quota. That is how it works.

I have exactly ZERO friends that would participate in that crap. You may want to find a new social group.

And? It's still a new Lexus.

The Advocare frickers are the worst. Also have some chick selling body wraps that supposedly make you lose weight and takes inches off your waist. I would defriend them, but I haven't posted anything on facebook since 2010 and don't want to come out of hibernation to do that. I simply lurk.

I have FB friends on there who always post shite about Plexus, I only keep them as friends because their stupidity amuses me and I occasionally troll their posts.

And the before/after photos they use for the wrap gimmick makes me want to vomit

No way does a wrap remove that much girth

Dude, you have NO idea how it works.

The person leases the Lexus in their own name, and Piexus pays the lease. When Piexus or whatever goes about of business in six months, the person is stuck with the payment and is unable to make it because they weren't paying it to begin with.

You wanna know what's super annoying? Your crappy, whinny posts.

Just ignore your shitty Facebook friends like everyone here ignores you and you shouldn't have any more problems. Or just don't be a bitch and tell them that you don't like it when they make a status about it.

I deleted those kinds of contacts a long time ago. Ignore or delete them.

Block or unfriend.
Not worth starting a thread over around here. Pretty simple to handle.

I just let it run its course. Pattern is always the same:

Step 1. Person dives headfirst into the pyramid scheme, spams all their friends, creates events/groups/pages, clicks Like on every page devoted to the pyramid scheme.

Step 2. Dials it back to regular, consistent posts about how great the opportunity has been

Step 3. Thinking the product sells itself, probably does zero marketing effort outside of Facebook

Step 4. After exhausting all pity purchases through friends and family, switches gears to recruiting and begins spamming Facebook with lies about how successful they've been and how much happier they are being their own boss.

Step 5. The spamming suddenly stops, but if you read the person's newsfeed, they are still continually spammed by their recruiter one rung above.

All this takes place over a period of about 6 months or less.
