I am aware of that but they have been claiming they can't shoot down anything other than helo's.
These are also the same type of jets Russia claims the Ukrainian Air Force used to shoot down MH17 at 30k feet.

No one is getting butt hurt its actually getting sad and pathetic on Russias end. In the end Putin and crew are only hurting their country in the long run.

No.......and no.............and hell no! Neither Putin or the Russians could care less what anyone thinks of them....they never have and never will. Russia is much better off today than 10 or 15 years ago, so they aren't hurting.
The Russians could make life difficult for us if they suddenly dumped the US debt they own - Debt listing It wouldn't kill us but it would.....hurt.

Yes with all their educated and rich leaving. Their low life expectancy and alarming crime and death rates. It is one of the ultimate have and have not countries with its people lined up for gov't handouts.

We would be fine, Russian economy is on the downfall and the Ruble isn't worth shite.

Right, forget fighters are faster,smaller, can shoot back, and have 100 times the defensive maneuverability than a commercial airline.

They were given a false sense of having a middle class.
The oligarchs are doing just fine, but the ones with half a brain are leaving and not going back.

Yes but it depends the way you look at it. When it comes to actual Russians yes, their birth rate is dropping and their life expectancy is an absolute joke esp among males.
To combat this Russia decided to have an open borders policy to all people living in old Soviet countries, so when Russia says look our population is rising its only b/c they are letting non Russians in. Even if the people might be Slavic they will still be outsiders living in poverty.

None of that contradicts the fact that fighter jets fly at lower altitudes than commercial; which is a technical limitation on most weapons systems.

It takes pretty modern weapons to shoot down a high flying airliner miles away and a faster low flying fighter. They'll have trouble with the we can't shoot down airliners defense.
