How much money would a family film about hunting make?

Picture a film about a dad and son going to camp with other families , the hunt, maybe getting lost in the woods for a bit for added drama, and at the end skinning the deer and eating deer jerky.

Family films are killing it right now, I'm going to start working on a script and make it happen.
The son doesn't want to go bc he's leaving behind video games a iPhone service but once he's there he learns about another way of life...
Maybe even the son and dad don't like each other before embarking on this journey

Let's throw in a twist where the dad ends up not being his dad.
He is actually his dad's evil twin brother who killed his dad and wants to kill the kid for his inheritance.
Kid has to use all the hunting skills his real dad taught him in order to survive...and make it home for Christmas.
Starring:
Jay Baruchel as the kid.
DiCaprio as dad/evil dad.
Bale as the reclusive backwoods hillbilly who helps the kid out.
Jennifer Lawrence as the mom.
Tom Green as the deer.
Would make bank.

No, this movie is produced by Disney and will star Keanu reaves as the loveable but loser dad in the kids eyes and the flat bill wearing kid will be played by bieber , his first big role.
With Melissa McCartney as his uncool fat mom, playing her first serious role trying to make a comeback from so many horrible films she's been in

So the son is rich and left his Dad his fortune in case of his untimely death. This is Oscar worthy.

This version is better.
Hunting is like baseball, worthless unless you are present, and only really great if you are actually playing. Oh and no guns, rifles and lures are for pansies. The kid needs a bow and hunting knife only.
And a red bandanna.
Ok Rambo prequel. We got this.

Hunting deer or drugged females at night?
Posted on 7/23/14 at 1:17 am to Freauxzen
- dad and son go hunting
- son shoots deer
- deer dies
- deer comes back to life as a zombie deer that runs exclusively on hind legs
- zombie deer sneaks away and bites a variety of other woodland creatures, thus turning the woods into a zombie wildlife refuge
- hilarity/terror ensues
- ????
- profit

I'd pay a lot to see a movie where a father and son go out hunting, lure deer in using piss and food (hunting stuff?) and right before they take a shot, they realize that it's the deer that's hunting them (there's like 100 deer with guns, might need CGI for this)
anyways, the deer kill the dad, wound the son and eventually the son returns to town to warn all hunters that it's now a fair fight.
there can either be a war (summer blockbuster) or it can just be left as is, as more of a message movie (prob late fall in indie theaters then).
Anyways, I'd go see it.

The deer kill the dad and capture the kid, but let him go because he is only a child. Years later the kid comes back with a few mercenaries to enact revenge, after a few fights and the death of the mercenaries, the kid (now man) infiltrates the deer camp with plans to blow it up (he remembered where it was from when they captured him). while he is in there he sees families and working class deer not so different from him, who only killed his dad to protect their civilization. He eventually gets into the home of the head deer who killed his dad with a chance to kill him, but upon seeing the deer's own young son he lets him live, not wanting that deer to have to go through life without a father like he did.
The movie ends, we all learn a little something

Just make it a Christian movie. The kid comes back from liberal University of Jew Arts and is slowly turned back to the good side by Christian dad as they walk through the woods. It ends with the kid etching a cross into a bullet and shooting it through a deer's head.
