So I was just invited, by a friend, to check out the Tarpon Rodeo for the weekend. What's it all about? I heard it's a redneck good time. I've also heard it's a mess. Thoughts?

I heard it's not enough substance in the title to keep from getting anchored...at the live sex show going on at the Sand Dollar.

I have heard there are great new demos each year. It is amazing what is being done down there in the world of fishing lures.

Its a fun party. Head down to the marina Saturday night amd check out the wet tshirt contest. Well if they still do it.

Club Oasis has some good bands every year

It's pretty incredible. Especially the show at the marina.

What has been seen cannot be unseen. There's some pretty crazy stuff going on there.

I've never been down there for the tarpon rodeo so I want to ask this question:

Should I expect crowds if fishing Leeville?

We are usually some of the few who actually fish. But by saturday night, I'm as drunk as anyone down there. It's hard not to be. I've only experienced the marina my first year down there. It should be experienced at least once, but there are so many dudes trying to get a peek that it gets rediculous. In general, I find the island turns into a spring break type atmosphere. Just less college educated people
