What's with all these comic book movies?

There is just an over abundance of them. Do people really read comic books anymore?
I tried watching the new Spider-Man, and it was so boring. All these movies suck and are over saturating the movie market.
It's really lazy writing and film making.
However, the DC movies are better than the Marvel movies

1) kid appeal
2) presold property w/ built in audience
3) merchandising
4) in 7 years when a new audience comes along, they will simply reboot

great attempt. You went too obvious with the last statement

This is my biggest complaint...they re-tell the same origin story every time.
How many times do audiences have to sit through Peter Parker getting bit by a spider?

Because they're a sure thing, and Hollywood only deals in sure things these days. Can't afford to take risks.

Can't tell if you're that stupid or trolling.

Neither?
The Batman Movies aren't forced upon their audience. Iron Man 3 was just forced, and the critics panned now terrible it was

I would argue the point but I just saw Snowpiercer and that movie alone drags the rest of the Summer comic book movies down into mediocrity.

Seeing it tonight. Heard nothing but good things.

The last Batman movie just sucked. It was awful and the plot made no sense. The last Superman movie was horrible and boring. Green Lantern might have been the worst movie ever made. Jonah Hex was unwatchable. I'm guessing the Justice League movie will be bad and the Rock as Shazam isn't going to be much better.. I don't see how the DC movies are any better..
Btw, I liked the Watchmen. So there is hope..

Agreed. These movies have zero lasting impact on the audience past the end credits. Everyone is just cashing in on kids and baby boomers remembering how nerdy they were before someone got smart and made the TV

It's not the 94% Dark Knight got
Batman>Iron Man
Batman>Iron Man

I don't disagree with you, but the critics liked Iron Man 3.

Exactly
Everywhere you look, there is Josh Weeden stuffing Marvel and Comics down our throats.
They are even making a movie with a fricking Raccoon superhero. What is that?

Kafkas number two should be number one. Built in audience, regardless of how much they suck.
