My Lab who just turned 6 is ALWAYS getting into something causing and endless stream of vet bills. This weekend she went to the beach with my parents and of course she starts eating sand because someone had buried some fish/bait in there. Just saw the X-Ray and it looks like there is about a gallon of sand just sitting in her intestine and it cannot make it's way any further. Now they have to cut her open to remove it. Anyone ever had this happen? If so, how was your dog after the surgery?

Horses get sand impactions.

Shoot him and throw him over the fence.

My dog is retarded too, but I don't take him to the vet out of principle. That whole Darwinism thing.

But miss once, wait for him to want to play, then fire the kill shot.

Are you asking me if I ever had a dog retarded enough to eat sand? Um...nah.
