Wow! It had been a long time since I had been to the northshore and I am impressed by the Chimes out there. Yes I have been to the locations in BR plenty of times, but the size and location for the one in Covington was on point!! We got there and the huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge parking lot was overflowing. Thought we would be waiting forever for a table but we maybe waited 20 min. Then on top of that we got a great seat on the outside porche overlooking the creek and the kids fed the goats ect.
Food was great! Beer was great! Atmosphere was great!! Cant wait to head back that way. Definitely worth the drive to have a solid dinner one night.
Thanks Food board for the recommendation! Definitely hit a Home Run on that one as everyone enjoyed themselves that was with our party!

Really nice place but I prefer the atmosphere of the one by campus.

yes it was great!
I was having plenty of beer that night since the selection was so broad, but we did it pretty well. Apps were Chargrilled Oysters, Onion Rings, and Hush Puppies(split amongst everyone) then I rolled with the shrimp and grits. I'm a shrimp and grits kind of guy and I love how they fry it and the presentation was great. Finished off my beer selection with the 3bagger beer. High alcohol content and great end to a great meal. Finally got to try some of the GnarleyBarley I had been hearing about too.
Any idea why they have that awesome location in covington? Is one of the owners from that area? J/w...

The porch area there is fantastic. I hope you took a walk along the pathway to the river. It's really well done. The food is good for what it is, and it's worth going to again. I live out there and used to hit it up about once a month at the bar area. Times have changed though due to adult duties
