If Boston was willing to take both for Green and a pick, then I am interested

Not a legal trade now, but could be next offseason. The problem is, who are you going to spend all of that cap space on? The Spurs would surely match Kawhi Leonard and the Bulls should have enough cap space for Butler. I don't see too many good trades either. I'd rather keep Ryno and add an MLE SF than use Ryno to turn Gordon into Jeff Green and someone like Wilson Chandler or Illyasova.

If the new TV deal pushes the cap to $80 million, AD's new deal would start $24 million. If Asik is getting $12 and Jrue and Tyreke are the only other players on the books, you'd have $22 million to resign Anderson, a starting SF and fill out the bench. In some ways that feels like a step back if in 2 years we essentially trade our entire bench for a starting SF. It's not the worst plan though. Assuming those top 6 pieces are who you want to surround AD with long term. AD would be starting a 5 year deal and all you'd have to do is fill out the bench with exceptions for a few years and you'd be a contender if you already had the roster right 1-6.

Wow didn't realize AD's max would be that large. I'm not thrilled about that number. Obviously he's worth it but I thought we'd have have for about what Kyrie got. I'm a huge Ryno fan but if I had choose between him and a SF like Batum on similar contracts then I choose Batum. The trio of AD, Asik and Ryno sounds great but the minutes split between them is going to be interesting. All three deserve 30 plus mpg and unless we only play 3 bigs the whole season that's not possible. I think we have to choose between Asik and Ryno because both will command 8 figure salaries and I don't know if either can play up to them playing only 28-30 mpg.

If he qualifies for the Derrick Rose rule, which means either 2 All NBA Teams, 2 All Star starts, or an MVP, he can get a contract that's worth 30% of the salary cap instead of the standard 2nd contract max which is 25%. Also keep in mind, this is using the projected cap level after a doubling of TV revenue expected from the new TV deal. The cap is at $63 million today and there's speculation it could go to $80 million after the new TV deal.
