2012 was only embarrassing for any individual who values basic logic or fairness.

I don't think all of that many people outside of Louisiana or Alabama gave a frick about that rematch.

that is all.

22 > 21

BUT, that was the GOAT LSU team, in their "home away from Death Valley", and that is what every LSU fan said leading up to it, can't change that now.

If LSU won that game, we'd hear about them as a top 3 team over the last quarter century or so. Since they lost, LSU fans have done their best to try to spin it around.

Who gives a shite?

The game was a farce, the fix was in...

All I need to know is LSU beat Bama at Bama...and ran the table - finishing the regular season perfect.

If Bama can claim national titles by finishing the regular season perfect but getting their arse whooped in their bowl game (like 1964 and 1973) or losing to the team that really won the national title 1978 USC - god that's a lot of bullshite titles Bama claims and that's only the 60's and 70's, they might only have like 5 real ones)

- then LSU can claim their rightful national title that year.

Who gives a shite that Bama beat LSU in a rematch just because the rematch was promoted as a money-grab bigger game than the original meeting...why wasn't that game big? - sure felt like it, didn't it? Until we realized ESPN said it doesn't matter and didn't happen....

Any Bama fan who claims 1964, 1973, 1978 and 2012 is a piece of crap human being who re-enforces the stereotype of Bama inbred morons...someone who lives for cheese doodles and getting high every night. Good thing the rest of the country takes what your third-rate out of the Top 100 University has to say...with a grain of real salt...

That's a game I will never ever forgive Les Miles for. He could've been the coach of a top 5 GOAT college team and forever immortalized in football glory. But no, he had to shite the bed and diddle around on the sideline like it's a cupcake game in September against North Texas or some shite like that. Hell, he didn't even give Jarrett Lee a shot to try and get sonething going when it was clear we weren't going anywhere with Jordan fricking Jefferson.

Unbelievable.

Just so you know, that Nebraska team that got beat in the Orange Bowl that season was ranked 11th in both polls when they played in that game. Miami was #1.

I'm not a fan of LSU but that LSU team got screwed. They beat that trash from Alabama already. That rematch is a perfect example of why college football holds no water. You give any team a second chance at an opponent and the odds are in their favor. What happened to LSU would like the Giants having to play a rematch against the undefeated Patriots just because everyone felt New England was the better team and deserved the title.

And that means nothing. The BCS was always about pitting the two best in CFB against each other. Okie State didn't belong on the same field as either Bama or LSU that year. Those were two all time great teams. LSU won in OT against Bama and most people STILL walked away thinking Bama was the better team. A rematch to settle things was the only way to do things. But Bama wasn't voted into a rematch. They were number two ahead of OKST before the final rankings came out, and it wouldn't have been fair to suddenly change your mind and put OKST above Bama just to prevent a rematch. The voters voted Bama into the national title game. LSU just happened to be the opponent.

If the CFB Playoff goes out of their way to avoid rematches, it'll be a bust. It's about the best teams.

ESPN had nothing to do with that.

It's funny that you use this argument because the final regular season game for both teams was against each other. The Giants won the re-match in the Super Bowl.

the computers had OKST at #2 the humans were the ones that voted bama in. And if you don't believe ESPN tried their damnedest to Bama in the game your wrong. I mean CBS had Saban on at halftime of the SECC so he could promote why Bama should be in NCG. Now were LSU and Bama the best teams, i think so, but should it have been LSU and OKST, yes. In the end Bama and LSU were two of the best college football teams of all-time

The 12 BCSCG game because that ruined a historic season for LSU. Nebraska had no shot at winning a title either.

And it happened again in 2011, with the Giants winning both games.
