I need to locate a reputable small engine repair shop to repair/replace a bent crankshaft for a Honda GSV160 engine on a 21" lawnmower.

I am in southeast Baton Rouge and while closer is better, I can travel 20 to 30 miles if needed. TIA.

It probably cheaper to buy a new engine. $220.00 for a new one.

Try k&d rent all. Not sure what their turnaround time is though, sometimes its pretty ridiculous. They should be able to give you a good idea on price compared to new engine.

I've had some good experiences with Ike's Fix It Shop on Old Jefferson in Prairieville fixing my weed eater. They were pretty fast but it was a small job that I couldn't do myself.

I use a guy who posts on here and he tries to turn commercial guys around quick as possible. But that is also if you buy from him.

Tried k&d one time for a stihl chainsaw and hedge trimmers and they had that crap for a month.

A new engine is probably be the less expensive route but I will check with Ike's and K&D to see what they say.

hogdaddy is right There is going to be a 100 dollar bench charge to get stared throw in parts labor- you are better off buying a new engine and installing yourself

There is a guy behind the Ace Hardware on Millerville that is pretty fast and not too pricy. I think it's Able Lawn Equipment

Check online for one of the inexpensive Honda clone engines like Lifan or Predator.
