were officially "cutting the cord" going into affect monday morning. We already have our digital antennas ready.

If you had to choose one of the three streaming services. Which one would you choose and why?

I really dont watch alot of movies, but watch TV series alot.

Prime has come a long way recently. They have The Wire now. Prime and Netflix are both great. I personally don't like Hulu.

Do you have to choose? Purchase a Roku-type device and enjoy all of them.

If I had to put them in order, though, I would go with:

1. Netflix
2. Amazon Instant
3. Hulu Plus

Amazon has fixed their interface somewhat which used to be problematic. I think I accidentally hit the purchase button 4 times in one day.

Netflix and Prime have plenty of overlap. Prime picked up some of the older HBO library. Netflix has the better original content.

Hulu is trash. I haven't tried Plus but I haven't seen too may happy Plus people on here. Their selection isn't close to Netflix or Prime although they have more current content.

If I had to, I would go with Netflix and use free hulu for current shows I missed. Prime + Netflix for a year isn't much more than 1 month of cable if you have a movie channel.

when we first moved into our house about a year and a half ago we had hulu and netflix for about 3 months until I ran cable lines in our house splitted from the cable line going to my modem.

I remember netflix was loosing alot of tv series that i liked and hulu plus was gaining shows and playing current shows (about a week after the air date).

But now it seems like that hulu plus is loosing shows and netflix is gaining again.

I have my dads HBOgo login (which they dont use) lol.

im just curious on what prime has to offer.

eta: has anyone ever bought a membership to netflix/hulu off ebay. they have them on there for way cheaper, but wonder if once you use the code you get, will it ACTUALLY work for the time frame you bought it for?

I have all 3. Netflix/Hulu-$15/month. Prime $99/year($8.25/month). If you get all 3, you'll still come out ahead, even if you only watch a few programs on each.

I'm aggravated that GoT season 4 won't be available on DVD till next February.

I'm still halfway through the season and the SO wants to watch it but it's not available on the main streaming providers.

With that said, I'd take Netflix over those.

If you have internet, you can so easily find websites that upload shows 15 mins after they come on tv. Dont spend money if you dont have to

if i had to chose one, it would be netflix, for the simple fact that i can't watch amazon prime on my android phone yet.

once i can watch it on my android phone i would probably never watch netflix again lol

I like watching shows in hd on my tv with surround sound. Maybe I've spoiled myself, but the comfort of that is a way I like to unplug.

I don't mind spending money on specific things, but I don't care to have a movie/channel package for only one show. Wish HBOgo would allow people to purchase things if you don't have HBO anymore.

Netflix is the best currently, but Amazon has come a long way in a short amount of time. I think they have The Wire and The Sopranos now in addition to a few good movies.

I've never tried Hulu at all, but HBOGO is the cat's arse.

Do any of them show live college football games? That is why I could never consider cutting the cord.
