if not, what do you all do for outdoor tvs in this muggy arse weather down south?

I'm afraid I can't help you with Sunbrite televisions in particular, but as far as outdoor TV's in general I just put mine up on it's wall mount as I need it. It only takes a couple of minutes to do this. I store it inside when there is bad weather. I live in Colorado so I don't have the issues with the brutal humidity.

Just put a regular tv out as long as it's covered. Mines been outside a few years with no cover and it's fine. You can replace it plenty times and still not pay more than a sunbrite.

Buy the cheapest TV in the size you want. Replace as needed.

I'm a Sunbrite dealer. They are great TVs and you can use them in direct sunlight. They are also expensive.

They aren't worth it unless where you want it is in the weather 100%. We have a covered porch and just use a cheap TV. The cost of those Sunbrite TV's are 10x the cost of a cheap one.

As long as the tv is under a cover (porch), you should be ok to use a regular lcd/led and replace if needed (still way cheaper than sunbrite). I had a Panasonic LCD outside for 3 years and moved it inside to a kids room and it works like new. I would buy a cover to keep dust out during long periods of non-use.
*the only real concern would be really cold weather (below ~40-45 degrees). The tv is ok to be exposed to the cold, but should not be operated at those times. Most tvs have a listed operational temp range

Good, take half the money you were going to spend on the sunbrite and buy a bunch of cheap tvs. Put one out and when it breaks go get another one out of the closet.
Put the other half of the money in my pocket.

46" sunbrite is $2850
I'd pretty much need to live under a waterfall to spend that much money.

I got this at Target two years ago for $475 on a Black Friday deal. Been outside in some below freezing temps for over two years, still works great. Has built in JBL soundbar that is nice if you don't want to wire sound outdoors
