Picking what spot you want to draft

In a 12 team PPR, QB 6 pt passing TDs...
If you could draft from any position, where would you want to go?
Just wanting some opinions.

Draft position doesn't matter, buddy.
Personal preference is 1 or 12. Can't really get caught on the wrong side of a position run. Often times, you'll dictate one. Easier to build a solid team with the b2b picks in my experience

My friend told me some guy did some research on draft positions and found that 12 (or the last spot) won the highest percentages of leagues in most years. The second best spot was picking first. I wish he could find it because it would be interesting to look at.

agree, keeps you from guessing what might be available and missing out on a position of need.

In our league we have people picking spots determined by a lottery based on last year's result. I am 4th in line to choose my draft spot. I feel that in PPR I want to be towards the back and hammer to stud WR. RBs, to me, are becoming less worthy of these top picks.

I like spot 5 this year, hoping I get that one. And with that scoring system I would easily go with Manning or Brees. Maybe even Rodgers in round 1.

i would pick 6th. Im happy...super happy taking megatron there. And for the whole draft you are in the middle and dont have long turns to wait each rd

I'm in the exact same scenario. 4th choice as well.
My choices in order, this year, would be:
1st
4th
3rd
2nd
12th
I am an advocate of grabbing a stud RB in the 1st if you can. There's 4 I really like this year, hence my preference of drafting in the top 4. If I can't get top 4 then I want the back to back picks at 12..
Of course, there were a bevy of 1st round RB busts last year...
It worked out for me though. I was high scoring team and won the league. I was 1st overall pick last year and went AP-Jimmy-Bush in my first three picks. Yes... even in a PPR league with 6pt passing TDs, I didn't draft a WR or QB in my first three picks.
There are several ways to build a good team.
