Government Street Grocery is quite good. Reminds me of Chelsea's Cafe, except with a better beer selection and better food.

Oh damn, that place was good. Only ate there once, but it was very good. Sadly, I didnt get a feel for the local eateries in the 2 years I lived there.

I lived down there for a short period back around 2006 i believe. I remember eating at manhatten grill and mosaic.

That place has changed since i was there, from what i see. They actually have a craft beer presence now.

From what i see now, several places have new names. I don't believe government street grocery was called that when i was there.

Bunch of places downtown that you could check out whether it's burgers, cajun food, greek, sushi, thai all within walking distance. Government street right off of washington is where you want to be.

Phoenicia garden for sure is great. It's byob by the way.

Woodys is also good, but definitely more casual.
