SB Idea - Expanding Our Horizons

are you like me? do you tell yourself every year that you're going to watch more soccer/different leagues, do some, then get busy or lazy and end up not doing it? if so, do i have an idea for you!! (and me)
wouldn't it be fun if we divvied out smaller teams in different leagues for each participating poster to watch and then said posters wrote mini-match recaps? maybe it just sounds cool to me. is anyone else interested?
i'm down for whatever parameters the SB wants to set for "smaller clubs." my thought would be at least no CL team or traditional power, no second division teams (mainly for availability reasons more than anything), and an exciting prospect or two on the team to keep tabs on for the board.
match availability would be one hurdle. clearly, these smaller teams, if they're outside of the PL, will not have matches available for viewing in the US. wiziwig and that reddit match download site may work, but i'm not sure what leagues the latter covers. would probably need to get a team that is at least available for download so you can control when you watch the match.
is this a crazy idea? probably. but,
etc.

DVR. Or watch the Premiere League Review Show.

I don't know how much time I have for it, but it sounds like a great idea. I like to think I can write.

i'm talking non-EPL. probably should have specified that. this board has a glut of EPL info. and every other league has limited access to the non-top 2-4 sides in the US.

Y'all get mad at me when I do this...

It'd be interesting to me if there were an American tie to it, but I don't know how easy it would be to watch some of our Yanks Abroad.

that was one of my thoughts but like you said, seems like it'd be difficult. especially since the more interesting ones (Mix in the norwegian league, younger players in lower divisions for big club b teams) probably wouldn't be readily available.
and sorry, bhoy. i should have no second division leagues or the SPL. don't wish to subject someone to that.

don't have to be good writing. even blurbs on players that stood out/disappointed, formations, key moments, etc. would be cool.

I just the guy from Italy(wm or something) to keep me updated with everything going on in serie a and specifically Roma, who by the way are making a semifinal CL appearance

I'd cover Rayo Vallecano most weeks
rojadirecta
beIN shows basically every La Liga game that isn't on at some ungodly hour. Serie A is harder but might be doable via beIN SPORT Play
If it isn't on tv in the US, you should be able to find pretty much everything worth watching via wiziwig

I was planning on following Roma, and Serie A as a whole, more this season. WM clearly knows more about Roma than me so I'll leave that to him. I could write about a different Italian team, as well.
If Matt Besler moves to Europe I will be watching him every week so I could write about whatever club he goes to (if he moves...We should find out by Monday). Of course I could write about Sporting KC as well but I dunno if you were just looking for European leagues.

We can barely get a full fantasy league through a year......I don't see something like this lasting very long.
