Are they in for another piss poor year in the big 12, or will they be improved? What are their strengths and weaknesses?

This site has them going 8-4 with the #1 defense in the country.

LINK

Samford W
Minnesota W 26-12
@ SMU W 32-14
Oklahoma L 22-24
@ Baylor L 26-39
Oklahoma State W 26-23
Texas Tech W 36-20
@ West Virginia W 29-18
Kansas State L 25-24
@ Kansas W 28-9
@ Texas L 20-25
Iowa State W 37-14

With their defense, their offense only needs to make minimal improvements to be a 9 win team.

The problem with the offense last year wasn't so much scoring, but turning the ball over and going 3 and outs. Field position is what killed them last year. The defense was solid, still was a Top 5 unit nationally and best in the Big 12, but even then it wasn't enough to overcome the horrendus field position handed to them by the incompetent TCU offense.

They can be this year's Michigan State. Michigan State had a similar 2012 that TCU had in 2013, lots of close losses because of an incompetent offense, but a Top 5 defense. MSU's offense improved from 102nd to 69th nationally, defense held steady and they go 13-1.

Schedule favorable for the Frogs this year. I think they go 9-3.

Their defense is going to be solid again, but the offense took a major step back when they lost their QB for the season.

They lost to LSU, @Oklahoma, @Kansas St., and Baylor by a combined 18 points.

Phil Steele and Bill Connelly both have come out and said they are going to go 9-3 so I am not the only one

Athlon I think had them at 8-4

ESPN's "Football Power Index" has them going 8-4

They are in for a bounceback year

Just like a Bama fan, living in the past. That was last year's quote. We don't play them this year so they're dog shite and would probably go 0-12 with our schedule.

They won't lose to Oklahoma State

OSU will not be good this year. They lost more starters and letterman than any other team nationally. Will be a young team and TCU finally gets to play them in Fort Worth

Not really a big deal. Tcu doesn't have much of a "home field" advantage.

I didn't know that about Oklahoma State though. I'll give the Frogs the nod in that game then.
