What makes you RB "specialist" think you know more than the coaching staff? We all know how corrupt the recruiting services can be when it comes to Bama prospect evaluation. When one kid in state leaves, people call for someone's head and freak out like the coaches aren't busting their asses to try and assemble the best class for their situation year in and year out. Quite franky I don't care if we get the number 1 class or the number 20 class (anything less than 20 would raise eyebrows, the 2011-12 recruit cycle raised mine a little). As long as we fill needs I don't understand the problem.

Also

Last year we signed the number one prospect in 5 states. Who gives a shite it a kid leaves LA. Yes, it would be nice to have him, but our coaches are coaches for a reason and usually have a plan B to Z.

Nb4 down votes, tl;dr, ect. You people freak out over every kid that doesn't come here when only 25 usually can.

And congrats to Bama on the number 1 corner in 2016, when the future of their DB core even looks like ours I'll start to worry. It's pretty easy to recruit kids to play positions that are immediate needs (for Bama, this is DB)

Notice Butch Jones ( I love Butch Jones and his Brick by Brick mentality is something a lot of programs would love, even if he doesn't pan out the cupboard will be loaded for next in line)

The problem is we play in the SEC west and being #15 means probably 4 divisional opponents ahead of us. Thankfully we usually finish top ten and sometimes top 5 but to say we would be elite with anything top twenty is a little ridiculous.

And there hasn't been a huge melt over shyheim so...

Well damn. I'm going to completely change the way I look at recruiting now.

Thank you for opening my eyes.

Not really...

The people that freak out are the randoms that only come here on NSD or when players announce. They are the ones that typically freak out. The regulars on here are usually level headed and have a sense of where players are going. Hell, last year the only guy that surprised me what Gerald Willis going to UF. But even then the writing was on the wall with him and how he fits in a 3-4 system and all that.

And the regulars on here know that when a players that LSU wants and leaves the state, our coaches did everything they could to get him here. It happens. It's not like they aren't trying to get them here. Again, the regular posters here understand this.

Most of the freak outs and bashing of the coaches that you speak of come from random people that don't follow recruiting that much or post on here that much. They come here when players announce and on NSD and when we lose someone, they are the ones that typically freak out and try to blame someone or something. The regulars on here typically have a level head and understand how it works.
