What would be the average price of running Cat5e or Cat6 cable (one cable) in a strip mall suite, apprx 100 feet? This includes termination on both ends but no networking included.

Metal stud and sheet rock walls with a drop down ceiling?

It's not something I have ever gotten paid for but I'd probably want $75.

Yeah, that would pretty much be $20-25 for materials and $50 for about half an hour to 45 minutes of work. Also, I'd just punch the sheetrock above the ceiling grid which might look crappy when you pull ceiling tiles but it won't affect any thermal/vapor barriers. So seriously, who cares?

Again, I'm just some dude that has done this at my office and house because I'm not gonna pay someone for it and I like wall fishing for some stupid reason.

$100 per drop

I don't know if you would even find someone to bother with one run.

LOL.

To the OP. Does he need it ported and plated? Certified? Down walls?

If I did single runs I'd make sure it was worth my time. I won't say what I'd charge but if you get someone to do what I described above for $125 you got a decent deal.

To the OP.

Check the building codes. If you penetrate into the plenum space you will likely require plenum rated cable. Failure to use this can be hefty fine.

Would you go out and do one drop for $100? Be honest.
