Has spell check made you doubt yourself???

I read and write well and have always had a decent vocabulary and the ability to spell words correctly without looking them up. I am an old guy so I have been writing long before computers existed and I rarely looked words up in the dictionary. Now that I have become accustomed to utilizing spell check and the dictionary online I find myself looking up words that I know I have spelled correctly and I have no idea why I do it. It is almost as if the emergence of these failsafe applications have made my doubt myself without cause. Do any of you old guys find yourself in the same boat?

yes. especially with words we use here like crawfish.
I am a poor speller though.
I need spell check as my crutch.
As it is, I average a reply post a day with someone pointig out a spelling error and " ing"

I wrote my instead of me in my OP bragging about my grammar usage. At least I stand by my standard of not editing posts even when they make me look foolish.

I usually post and then edit after I proof read it. I bet 1/2 of my posts on here are edited.

Are you trying to provide an example of irony for someone?
