I don't have any regret watching Season 5 so I'm going to tread into 6. I accept the consequences.

Yea Lumen really sucks balls, how the frick does he let her live? I remember I was so mad at that ending, like wtf why does this bitch get to be the only one alive who knows Dexter is a serial killer?

So I just finished. No regrets watching S5-8, but the finale was kind of terrible.
S5 - decent season. I've never liked Stiles as an actor and she didn't disappoint in Dexter. Terrible acting, but a palatable season.
S6 - I actually liked this season and the plot. I thought Deb finding out about Dex in the finale was too earlier in hindsight.
S7 - My favorite of 5-8. I liked Sirko.
S8 - Ok. Not bad, but not good either. The finale left a good bit to be desired and was quite disappointing. I guess you can't expect Six Feet Under finales for every series.

It's a real mistake to keep watching.
I would not watch a single episode past the first of season five.
Just not worth the time.
Oh my God, you are so right. I can't believe I stuck with that show. I just kept hoping, but... Lesson learned.
And I would say seasons 1,2 and 4 were good. 3 sucked BALLS.

I despised Rita. I wanted her to die in the worst way so Dexter could go on satisfying his dark passenger without interruption. Then when it actually happened I was speechless. I've never felt worse seeing a tv character die.

Hannah McKay to me was the worst.
Great finale...I should abandon my son, have him raised by a crazy psycho path instead of his grandparents and brother and sister.

Yeah that ending was terrible. I really can't think of a worse way to end the show.

Overall I really enjoyed Dexter(esp the first 4 seasons)... but yea the finale was utter garbage.

I agree. The closest we got to seasons 1-4 level good.
Season 8 really had a lot of potential. It wasn't bad until that last episode which was an abomination.

Season 8 was terrible. The serial killer villain wasn't bad, but Sweet Jesus someone get Hannah McKay a hat or a scarf or some hair dye or a copy of the Bourne Identity. They clearly wanted to set things up so Dexter felt it was his fault that Deb died, but they could have done that without Hannah acting like the dumbest fugitive in history. As far as the ending the real problem is they took the bullshite way out to keep the possibility of a future series open. If Dexter killed himself over getting Deb killed, that's not a terrible ending, the one thing that always seemed stronger than his dark passenger was his relationship with Deb.
But as badly as it ended, I still miss it now that it's over. It's kind of crazy that I want more of a series that went on too long.

This is something that movies/tv shows do way too much of.
Oh...the whole world is looking for me? Oh my picture is all over the news and in the paper too? Ah well, maybe I should just walk around with no disguise what so ever and act completely normal.
