Yeah, we may have already agreed on a fee to Chelsea, but they won't leak anything until he's back from holiday anyways.

Nobody knows though. So much speculation.

Everton drew Tranmere 2-2 after goals from Naismith and Osman.

Coleman came on in the 2nd half, but was taken out holding his hamstring. He jogged a little and walked off though, so I think it was only precautionary.

Gibbo looked pretty good on his return. I also liked Garbutt and McAleny. Both could contribute to the first team this year I believe.

Twitter seemed to think Coleman was alright.

Did you watch it? I tried but I couldn't get my payment to work. It kept asking for non-required fields then told me my bank declined it. I'm guessing it was some international issue or my bank thought it was fraudulent.

Garbutt will get some good PT between the Domestic Cups and Europa. I'm looking forward to seeing him play a bit of first team football finally.

Yeah. I watched it.

I don't think Coleman coming off was an issue. Purely precautionary. The game was good in the first half. Great build-up play through Garbutt, Pienaar, and McAleny, but the play always seemed to die with Naismith. He was clearly rusty, but took a chance to get his goal. Lundstrum was shaky early, but has a good shot on him. He took a half volley from 25 yards out that just missed. Distin was his usual solid self, while Duffy surprised me. He's grown more comfortable with the ball at his feet. Browning was strong defensively, but offered zero going forward. Kennedy has a large repertoire of skill moves, but no vision.

2nd half was lacking, considering that we sent more first-teamers out. Stones made a bad back pass for Tranmere's first. Osman put us back on top with another poacher effort off of a McGeady corner. I just really don't like the way Alcaraz plays. He's all risk/reward with his attempts at intercepting through balls. It's fantastic when it works, but when Tranmere is creating multiple opportunities because he's not consistently sniffing out those passes, and Stones(or whoever is playing beside him) is not playing well, bad, bad things happen. Nothing much of note happened in the 2nd besides the defensive lapses. Hope is not good at holding up play, and Long played as a winger, while he's much better as an out and out 9, so he didn't have much positive impact.

Overall, it's our first preseason game, so I"m seriously overanalyzing it, but I did like what I saw from Garbutt and McAleny. Stones will be better. We know that. Looking forward to Sunday, although I doubt I'll wake up for it.

"@FourthOfficial_: Roberto Martinez has confirmed Everton will sign Belgium and Anderlecht u21 striker David Henan will sign for £1.5m (official)"

I've read elsewhere that Henan has the same agent as Mirallas and Lukaku. *optimism*

Yeah. What I've read of Henen from Belgian papers says he has "skills like Neymar" and refers to him as the "Belgian Ronaldo"

Although, the same was said when Belgian papers called Mirallas the "Belgian Ronaldo" when we signed him.

I'm just glad we have two Ronaldos now. Suck it, Real.

Combine two Belgian Ronaldos with 'The Finnish Xavi' once we bring Roman Eremenko into the mix and we'll be truly world class.
