Mexico should be ashamed they didn't score on this team.

Has a 4th place team ever conceded more goals than they scored in the World Cup? I'm genuinely curious.

In a modern tournament playing 7 games and only losing 2 (if the dutch keep the lead).

The Brazilian players don't play together AT ALL. It's kind of ridiculous. It's 10 guys running around improvising.

Is gambling legal anywhere in Brazil. I bet one could have made big money on those last two scorelines.

If the two squads played tomorrow, I'd take the U.S. by 2 goals. Brazil looked like Newcastle United out there over the past two matches.

Brazil got a lot of help from the refs to beat an average Croatia team, drew against Concacaf 4th place finisher Mexico (I know that was pre-Herrera), beat the worst team in the World Cup handily, and then were arguably outplayed by Chile and beat a solid Colombia team. They looked like they weren't a top 15 team in the world without Neymar. I legitimately think the US is a better team if Brazil doesn't include Neymar in the lineup, and slightly worse if Neymar is included.

Neymar

He will be a good player for a long time, but he's a bit overrated IMO. I recognize his ability and potential, but the consensus seems to be that he is the 3rd guy in that Messi/Ronaldo group. I don't see it. I could probably think of 10-15 players that are better than him at this point in his career.

I agree on Neymar, but I have actually grown to respect him more considering how much this team needs him.

Attacking players I probably take over him right now:

Messi
CR7
Zlatan
Suarez
Bale
James Rodriguez (stop me)
Falcao
Hazard
Lukaka (lots will disagree, but I think he's the real deal)
Gomez
Cavani
Robben
Ribery (least attacking player on this list)
Lewandowski

I'm sure I'm missing plenty too. This was off the top of my head.

Agree with all of those except Lukaku and Gomez. And maybe James. Surely, you're not talking about Mario Gomez are you?

And what do you mean least attacking player, regarding Ribery? He'd be near the top of my list, behind Messi and CR7.

I'm more talking about his role. I listed mostly forwards/wingers who I think are pretty comparable to Neymar. I like Ribery way more than Neymar, but his role is very different.

And Mario is still the man. He just had horrible luck with injuries this year. I have a soft spot for him, so you can drop him.

Understood. He's not my favorite but to each his own man.

Agreed. Brazil was a one man team. I feel Argentina will be exposed the same way tomorrow where Messi is basically the team. As much as I like him, Deutschland
