Calling all amazon.com shoppers (help a charity for free)

Amazon has a program called called AmazonSmile, which will automatically donate 0.5% of your purchases to the charity you select. It costs you (and the charitable organizations) nothing, and it's just like shopping on Amazon normally, but you get to do a world of good.
The hard part is choosing which of the million or so charitable organizations you want the AmazonSmile Foundation to donate to. You can change your charity at any time and search or suggest one when you first set up AmazonSmile.
The problem is that you have to remember to login at smile.amazon.com before shopping for it to work. Thankfully, there is an extension for FireFox and Chrome called "Smile Always".
Whether you head straight to Amazon from the URL bar, or from a link online, Smile Always redirects that traffic through AmazonSmile so you don't need to remember to go there yourself if you want to donate to charity. It's a lot easier than trying to remember to head there yourself.

I changed my Amazon bookmark to automatically go the Smile site so I can make my donations when I buy unnecessary shite.
