Is it possible to do something that you think is not in your best self interest?

I've thought about this before, and the thread with the guy bragging about his philanthropy reminded me.
Is it possible to do something, anything, that you do not think is the best decision to make for you?
We are pain avoiding/pleasure seeking creatures; and every decision we make is to do so. I don't think it's possible to do something that you don't at least think is the best decision you could make for self serving purposes.
Prove me wrong

I regularly put others before myself.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Are you serious?

In every day life, it's the little things. What's a better decision for me... eating pizza or a grilled chicken sandwich? I chose pizza knowing it wasn't "best".
There's a huge difference between "best" and "self-serving"... they are often opposites, actually.

Even doing things for others and sacrifice are ways to make ourselves better.

I know it's not in my best interest to jump off my roof into my pool while drunk, but I do it anyway cause it's fun.

Yes. But only if I won't be truly adversely impacted.
It's a spectrum. "Not in my best interests," can define a vast range of situations and outcomes.
The decision lies in self harm. Most people won't hurt themselves to help another. I wouldn't.

Every decision ever made by every human that has ever lived has been a selfish decision.

Nope.
Granted, some of your actions may mean more to someone else than to yourself, but if that person's happiness meant nothing to you -- either directly or indirectly -- you wouldn't bother. No such thing as a 100.00% selfless act.

I considered them the same. What is the most self serving decision would be the "best" decision as far as you are concerned.

I guess I'm stuck on the "best" part of the question. It's not in my best interest. It's self-serving, sure, but there are other choices that would have benefited me more yet I did not choose them.
Are you asking if there is such a thing as a selfless act? Sure there is. I'm married with a kid. Some things I do for her or for him are for their sake alone and have no benefit to me, our relationships, or their futures. No one hears about them. I don't get thanks. It's not even something I necessary get pleasure from doing, but they often do.

But doesn't their pleasure make you feel better. Or conversely, wouldn't their displeasure make you feel worse?

It may not be the safest thing to do, but the fact that you did it means that you believed it to be the better decision; not for you long term health maybe, but for your overall happiness, which is all we really care about.

I agree with the OP in a sense; the fact that we do something is evidence that we perceive it to maximize our happiness.

Why?
That's something I was taught early on in my life.
