Is Jenkins still here? Not showing up on roster.
What about Patrick Robinson?

Malcolm? No. He signed with the Eagles. He wasn't a cb though.

Center
4th, 5th, and 6th WR spots
Possibly the lead back role though they will still split time
NT though it will be rotational
One ILB spot
The traditional OLB spot though again it will be rotational
Backup LB spots
2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th CB spots
3rd, 4th, and 5th safety spots
Then you might get a couple of surprises like at the 3rd TE, backup OL, 4th HB, etc.

Don't be surprised if Tim Flanders is pushing someone for a spot. Saints always find a spot for a small school RB. More likely going to be a PS player.

The one between McCown and RG4 will be a big one too I believe.

Griffin has it if he's decent in preseason. Biggest battles are st Lb and Nb. We have a lot of talented dbs. Bailey is competing more with White than for a starting role.
I predict Humber overtakes one of the ilbs.

Can't believe I forgot the backup QB battle.
Hopefully Griffin wins out because we can't really afford to keep 3 QBs being "deep" at WR, LB, CB, and S.
That 3rd QB is going to be a waste of roster space as opposed to someone that could be special teams and could potentially become a future starter or role player.

Seems like P Rob and Keenan in base and I think our Nickel will come in to play outside corner so P Rob can slide inside.

I wouldn't call anyone besides the qb a major training camp battle... DONT OVER EXAGGERATE PEOPLE!!!! #losers

Corners
This will be the most intriguing of the battles.
How well Prob comes back from last seasons injury will be the tale of the tape. He was looking really good....like he had put it all together before the injury.
If he comes back to pre injury form....this secondary will be a force to be reckoned with. Especially if SJB is as advertised.
:whodat:

i'm kind of interested to see what is going to happen at ILB.
Hawthorne was a guy who was praised at training camp last year by Payton.
But as the year went along, it seemed like it was the D-line/OLBs and the secondary that kept making the most plays for the D.
I don't really care about the ILB's pass coverage, I just hope they will get better stopping the run.
that is supposed to be the strong point of their game, especially Lofton.
just hoping they can have more of an impact this year. Both of them played better in the playoffs I thought.
course, if some of the younger guys up front can improve their game against the run, it should make life easier for the ILB's.
I think they can too. Guys like Hicks have steadily improved each year. Also John Jenkins got a lot of snaps out there last year so maybe he'll bring more to the table this year with some experience now. Bunkley has always been a good run defender but he got hurt last year and missed a decent portion of the season(4 games). So you get him back healthy and get a nice rotation of him and Jenkins in there... I'm looking forward to it.
maybe we'll see more of Humber this year? Thought I read some where that he was in the plans to have more chances this upcoming season.
but maybe I misread?
