He's the only one to make it into his 60s - and barely at that.

Rock and Roll lifestyle is a killer.

And, in an ironic twist, the drummer lived the longest.

Which one did the rock 'n roll lifestyle kill beside Dee Dee?

Cancer killed 3 of them aging from 49 to 62 - okay - maybe a coincidence, but the lifestyle didn't help.

Tommy actually lived a fairly clean life, for a rock and roller.

They all did a lot of drugs. I mean, a lot. That takes a toll on one's body, even if you clean up. I don't think it's a coincidence they all had a degenerative disease. they were all old before their time.

Great f'n band. 53rd and 3rd.

We can't say it was even the lifestyle that killed Dee Dee. He was on smack before he ever joined the band, and lots of addict who've never been in a band have died from overdoses like he did.

I might be mistaken, but I thought Johnny was mainly into alcohol. Tommy also was never that far out there. Joey did some, but not as much as many of his peers. Dee Dee was the real freak when it came to drugs.

Joey was always in poor health, from childhood. The rest of them weren't too broken down. Regardless, I don't see what anything they did on or off stage had to do with three of them getting different types of cancer.

Very non-Spinal Tap twist.
