My wife wants a laptop. Her sister has a 13 inch MacBook Pro that she is selling. It has a upgraded processor 2.8 GHz with 750GB storage and 4GB memory. It also has windows on it and that is important to the wife. Any idea of what fair price would be to offer? TIA

ETA: 2012 model.

Check on Ebay what they've ben selling for. Click on completed sales. That will give you market rate. If you can beat that you're getting a deal.

the refurbished ones are going for around $1k, so I would say $700 would be a good price considering you get no warranty.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I was more 600-650. She was more 850-900. I'm not the most tech savvy person so didn't want to get hosed on the deal. Thanks.

It's not a Windows PC. People pay a higher percentage of retail value for used MacBooks because they are less aware of the actual value of the hardware. It would sell for $700-800-ish on eBay depending on the time of day and the demand.
