I can only dream that our country will have this kind of passion one day.

For reference: Porto Alegre is the southernmost capital of Brazil, and is very close to Argentina. In many ways its culture is closer to Argentina than to Brazil, to the point that people from the city (and its state) and Argentinians call one another "hermanos"; spanish for "brothers". You can read this word repeatedly in the YouTube comments. Moreover, we denizens of Porto Alegre are used to Argentinian presence in our city.
There are two big rival soccer teams based in Porto Alegre: Internacional and Grêmio. Many supporters of Grêmio regard themselves as very closely related to Argentinians. As an opposition, some supporters of Internacional deny this association to themselves. As consequence, the Argentinian soccer team is associated to Gremio and dissociated from Internacional.
This party has apparently started as a provocation from three Internacional supporters. During the course of the video, however, when it becomes a celebration, you can notice they join in.
Edit: for everyone wondering why I have stated that "its culture is closer to Argentina than to Brazil", check the replies of our fellow redditors on Gaucho culture and common Italian and German immigration.

Um, we already do?

If the World Cup were in America or a neighboring country and we were in the final, this scene could easily take place with American fans.

Except we would all have USA flag bandanas and be chanting "I believe that we will win" over and over again, not nearly as cool...

Countries with passion like that are probably poor and soccer is all they have.

We have other national songs. Heck just start with those written by George Cohen.

also to be fair, they are singing in spanish, so you probably don't realize they're singing the same very short song over and over and over and over.

Brasil, Decime Qué Se Siente,
Tener En Casa Tu Papá,
Te Juro Que Aunque Pasen Los Años,
Nunca Nos Vamos A Olvidar,
Que El Diego Te Gambeteó,
Que Cani Te Vacunó,
Estás Llorando Desde Italia Hasta Hoy,
A Messi Lo Vas A Ver,
La Copa Nos Va A Traer,
Maradona Es Más Grande Que Pelé"

"Brazil, Tell Me How It Feels,
To have 'Daddy' come to your House,
I Swear That Even If Years Pass,
We Will Never Forget,
That Diego [Maradona] Out-Skilled You,
That Cani [Claudio Caniggia] Surprised You,
You Are Crying Since Italy [World Cup 1990] Till Today,
You Are Going To See Messi,
Bring us the World Cup,
Maradona Is Better Than Pelé"
