Case in point: A Florida teacher and coach has been suspended for 10 days for allegedly twerking and giving lap dances to middle school soccer players at a party. Courtney Spruilli, a teacher and assistant soccer coach at Kernan Middle School in the Duval County School District, was suspended for 15 days after students brought forth evidence that she had been drinking alcohol and dancing inappropriately at a party for the team.

How inappropriately was she dancing? According to the Florida Times-Union, CBS affiliate WTEV and NBC affiliate WPTV, among other sources, Spruilli was twerking against the students themselves and eventually progressed to lap dances, giving one student a lap dance that lasted three to four minutes at the soiree, which was held at the house of a team member.

Investigators for the Duval School District determined that Spruilli exerted "the gross exercise of poor judgement," but didn't go to the point of saying she deserved to be fired. Hence, the 15-day suspension. That means Spruilli will be back as a teacher and coach in 2015, but it als oraises questions about just what a teacher needs to do to get the axe in the state of Florida these days.
