What senior will wear #18 this year... 3 chosen to represent for media days

La’el Collins, Offensive Tackle
Terrence Magee, Running Back
D.J. Welter, Linebacker
These are the 3 seniors LES has chosen to rep LSU on media day. As noted key senior leaders...
Who would you like to see wearing the 18?
I honestly would love to see Collins get it. Also, Magee's resilience changing positions to help the team out, changing back, then working to the top of the RB depth chart shows character. I think he would be a great representation of the Jersey.

Welter is the obvious choice

Specifically - interior linemen must wear 50-79 unless one reports as ineligible for kick situations.

I agree for as much pub he has gotten this offseason he better back it up. If he plays well I will be the first to say I was wrong.

Magee...it would be nice to see a RB wear that number again.

Hope no one is suprised when Welter is picked.

Speedy Mageedy. Man deserves it.

And then Welter absolutely lays a fat egg this year, disgracing the number, and in a fit of rage, Les eats #18, killing the tradition and saving TD from ever seeing these threads again.

He's been nothing short of great for the young linebackers according to Chief, going as far as to coach and tutor the guy pressing him for playing time.
I thought he played tentatively for fear of making mistakes early through mid season. The last couple of games he showed a little more confidence, especially in the bowl game.
with that said, he lacks the nastiness I think it takes to be a great mike linebacker. But I am all for him wearing the 18. He's a leader and may be instrumental to our success this year defensively.

I am interested to hear what Welter has to say at the media days. I don't think I have ever heard him speak or be interviewed.

I'm going with Magee. Collins isn't allowed to wear it.

My pick would be Magee, but I wouldn't be surprised for it to be Welter.
Either way, it would be deserving, as both are great examples of leadership, hard work and dedication to LSU.

Welter missed a year due to academics....DQ's him in my book
