As a huge union advocate he knew it hurt American workers' wages.

What did Chavez know? But we're talkin bout kids! And they are escaping dangerous places like Honduras which is the murder capital of the world...as it was in 2007.

Liberals aren't for it either in reality. No liberal in the country could tell you they would be for open borders and amnesty if they thought they would all vote republican, or even half would vote republican.
As a matter of fact, I would venture to guess the US military would be mobilized right now to secure the border if that were the case.

Probably not as bad as New Orleans and Chicago.

Okay I just looked up the crime stats. The murder rate in Honduras is ~90 per 100,000. Detroit and New Orleans are the highest in the US at 52 and 53 respectively. Detroit and New Orleans are only slightly worse than Venezuela at 51. 
Look, I grew up in and around New Orleans. I'm sure murders occur amongst gang members and within certain areas of Honduras just like in New Orleans. In other words, murders can be avoided by staying out of the war zone.
Plus there is a process for political asylum. Why can these immigrants go though that process instead of wasting their money on coyotes smuggling them across Mexico to the US border with the risk that they might be sent back? And another observation...why won't the Mexicans accept these Central American as Mexican citizens? They are so mean.

Liberal and Democrat are very much at odds with each other when you really get down to it. it's an implosion waiting to happen.
