Yes I did a search but the threads I found were mainly about trips with kids. Looking to plan an adults only trip. Basically looking for the best deals and hotels. Time isn't really an issue.

Whatever is most convenient I guess. Renting a car isn't out of the question. I haven't been since senior trip in 1999 so I am out of touch.

Just got back from Orlando today.

Harry Potter World was pretty legit. Wasn't too impressed with universal outside that.

On property if it is just you and your wife do the contemporary or Polynesian.

I've only been with the kiddo and we've been to Animal Kingdom, carribean beach, and art of animation. Have stay at the Polynesian and it's nice. Done breakfast a few times at contemporary.

If you want places to eat, let me know. Don't get the deluxe dinning plan. Two sit down meals is way, way, way too much food with what they give you.

Staying on property can seem a little pricey, and is for some. But you really can't beat the convenience of it.

They are always running different specials and deals on vacation packages.

LINK

If you pick a special offer, it will let you search availability specifically for that special during available date ranges. Pick you dates and look at the hotels, pick what fits your taste /budget.

They have a nice deal going for later in fall that includes a free meal plan added to your hotel and ticket package. Their meal plans dont always pay for themselves at full price, but getting it for free will save a bunch. Also, depending on how nice the resort you select is, it will decide which tier meal plan you get.

You may want to do some serious Disney research. Just saying.

Get the park hopper for sure. I wouldn't go without it ever. It's so nice to go to a park that you don't plan on being at all day and when you get tired catch a bus back to your room. You can eat or take a nap and then wake up and go to another park. We were at the magic kingdom or downtown disney until 12:00 or 1:00 every night. I went with my family and we scheduled a dinner show called the hoopty do review. Going into it I figured it would be super boring, but I enjoyed myself even though it was a little corny. The food there was excellent! You may be interested in that. You also do not want to skip Islands of adventure. It's the other Universal park. Get the fast pass for it and ride everything at least once. The harry potter land is on par, if not better, then anything disney has. Also get a frozen butter beer from the pub in Harry Potter land.

I'm single and this would more than likely be majority singles. Money isn't really an issue but I don't need a super extravagant hotel.

I'm not a fan of Harry Potter at all, but the rides and atmosphere there is awesome. Hogwarts castle is very well done. Be sure to get a butter beer.

Also OP you and your partner get a turkey leg to share.

Another thing I would recommend is book the cheapest type of room at the hotel you book. They almost always seem to run specials these days so you could possibly upgrade your room for the same price you expect.

If yall plan on shacking up as a group, look at Saratoga Springs Resort. They have treehouse villas that sleep 6-8. Its pricey, but if its being split by each individual in the group it comes out as a pretty good deal. Otherwise you would be paying for three rooms, which all together would be more than getting that, unless you went with the value resorts.

That is awesome. The Lafeaux brew at gastons tavern is similar and awesome in magic kingdom.

The middle tier resorts are decent, and the deluxe resorts have different prices ranges too. Wilderness Lodge and the Polynesian would be good.

Do you plan on having a room by yourself or a group of people? That makes a difference.

Probably by myself. SO is already going to Miami and Puerto Rico so she won't have money for this more than likely.

I agree if you want to stay away from the kids a bit.

Pop Century and Art of Animation are awesome though.
