Why didn't the Dutch bring on the backup keeper again?

I feel like he's gonna be roasted for wasting the subs if they lose. The current goalie is 0/16 on saving penalties...

Why not start Krul in the first place?

No subs, but you would think since he had the foresight last time, he would have this time to save one....

People will question the keeper decision, but the Dutch only made 2 of their PKs, it wouldn't have mattered who was in goal

Completely irrelevant... Everything changes fluidly throughout. Choices are made as things move along, so you can't assume they would have missed the second one had the other keeper been in goal and stopped one.

Van Persie was subbed off for Huntelaar in the 96th minute I believe. The alternative option that Van Haal probably should have taken was getting a tired RVP to stay on for the remaining 24 minutes, sub on Krul near the end, and let RVP take the first PK.

Maybe Cillessen is a better keeper during the match and before pk's.
