Called the marina's in Cocodrie and none have live bait. Anyone know where I can get some live boat in the morning on the way down there?
Thanks...

Cecil Lapeyrouse
Two bait shops about a mile before you get to Boudreaux Canal
And I think the gas station right before Boudreaux Canal carries cocahoes

Thanks for the help...
I know the boat you are talking about. Is he there year round? Is he easy to spot?

Call Capt Ricky and report back whether he will be at Rock Island or Calliou Boca. 985-855-6122

He told us Sunday he was waiting on the 72 hour season closure notice. Anyone know if it happened?

dont mean to high jack but how far of a boat ride is it from dularge to his boat? Would it be easier just to launch in cocodrie, get bait, load back up and head back to dularge?

Seems like a LOT of trouble for bait to me. Nothing close to Dularge?

if hes in Calliou Boca which is on north side of Whiskey island its not far and doable from dularge. I do it all the time. It hes anchored in the ship channel your looking at a long run from jugs.

Your best bet is to just launch at coco and grab bait and fish that area, I wouldnt launch boat, re-launch, etc. Can reach pickets easily from there.

I bought my own trawl, gonna give it a whirl this weekend hopefully cut my ties from bait dealers forever!

Nothing! unless Tbooux wants to hook a brotha up

I do throw the cast net but MUTHAF!!!

Only problem is with launching at CoCo is that the camp we stay at is a 16mi boat ride out of Falgoust. No sense in staying at the camp if i have to load up just to get bait and fish in Cocodrie. From the camp its exactly at 30mi ride to Mardi Gras

Could always go before I launch and just do the best i can with an aerator, dont know how well that would work tho

Crossed my mind as soon as I read it.
Julie and Troy have a place south of Sportsman's, but they open at 5AM which wouldn't give you time to get to Dularge for an early launch.
