Even breaking in a new QB, RB, and WR duo?

Sure. A dominant D (hopefully - will definitely be improved) and running game can make up for a lot.

u never know what u got nor what the other teams have until at least 1/3 of the way thru the schedule, but...

all things considered, knowing we have a lot of strengths, and we are only lacking some experience from certain quarters, this team could compete, esp. if they get chemistry going. I am optimistic about team chemistry, looking at some of the quality guys on this team who can provide leadership.

I think we compete, lose 2 games max.

Most definitely could be better. I know it will be exciting having a couple of athletic QBS and some tall Wide Receivers that can make big plays. Also this defense will be really fun to watch.

We lose 1 and win it all this year. One year ahead of schedule.

I would like it to be 40% better.

it's easy in July and August to go down the schedule and pick the wins and losses. Then kickoff comes and all hell breaks loose. The first casualty of a battle is the battle plan. w

Bama

2 of these:

@Auburn
@Florida
@Arkansas
@A&M

I hope I'm wrong, but with a no-experience QB in the SEC, I would think a minimum of 3 losses.

Will beat Gumps in TS this year!
Say you are probably right about the "2 of these"
Win Cotton vs Okie St
set up for run in 15 like 11!

I'll feel really good if we can come out of the Florida game at 6-1 or even 7-0. The schedule sets up really well after that. The toughest game left will be Bama, and we'll have a bye week to prepare, not to mention what will most likely be the largest crowd in Tiger Stadium history. There's a lot of potential in this team, and we can do great things if it all comes together.

lots of first year qb's have won lots of games in the past

nick marshall
aj mccarron his first year
manziel won the heisman in his first year starting
LSU won an SEC championship with JORDAN JEFFERSON and JARRETT LEE
Cam Newton
tebow won the heisman in 07 in his first year starting
Flynn in his first year starting won it all

so... just because it's the first year, doesn't mean shite really.

Bandon Harris would have to catch fire, and be mature beyond his years for LSU to make a run. That would be rare for a true Freshman. Three loses is more realistic, but what I've seen LSU do, I rule nothing out....

Superior OL, DB, ST, and RB play along with above average LB play should be enough to offset the lack of experience at QB, DL and receiver mid-season. I expect no more than one loss there. If the inexperienced guys gel just enough this team could reach double-figure victories yet again. One more loss during the second half and a bowl victory and there you have an improved season. Yes it's attainable.
