I FINALLY received the email today that my LaRue PredatAR is being built and should be heading my way in @ a week or so.

Yeah...true that.

Guess I was too busy tinkering with optics for my other guns....befor ethat tragic boat accident that is.

Paying that much, needs to be topped with a 3-12x Schmidt and Bender.

Or a 1-8x USO or similar.

I know the old adage about spending more on the optics than the gun but I'm not thinking it's going to come into play here, this being a 5.56 gun and not a .308

For a mid level price I am hearing the Vortex Viper 4X12, 40 is quite a deal on a damn good scope.
Eventually would love to do a Nightforce or Shmidt-Bender but that would be down the road, if I start doing some competitive shooting.
Not sure these older eyes are up to it anymore.
