If you are a salaried employee, do you have to submit a time sheet every pay period?

If so, what size company do you work for?

I did once and quit the job. I dont mind keeping track of my hours and getting paid, but loggin in my arrival, departure, lunch, and breaks is asinine. If i'm doing my job pay me for it. If not fire me.

I do, but I'm considered "billable" hours between different projects. Construction company with42 employees.

The day my time is considered straight overhead and not revenue generating is the day I will start looking for a different opportunity.

Yes and 5,000 employees. Supposedly it is factored in to bonuses.

Always, billable time to the client.

I also make my devs submit detailed time sheets to me.

Yes, it is important for billing hours properly.

Work at a Big 4. They hound you about allocating time correctly.

No. That's silly if you are salaried.

Yes but they're used strictly for research and development. Gotta get that government tax credit.

Company has around 40 people in three countries.

Not me. Im a salaried management employee. I work for a major corporation and home based when not traveling. (Im in global sales.)

Wife is also home based, but works for the State of Georgia doing auditing. She has to clock in at 8AM sharp. Her boss gets a report if wifey doesnt login to her computer at 8AM and off by 5PM. (State doesnt like overtime.) I keep telling her we ought to write a macro that would automatically do that.

Yes.

Twice a month but its not very detailed. We get Salary plus overtime.

We have probably 3,000 employees with maybe 150 on salary.
