I have a male pup that's 4 months old. So far the chewing has been kept to a minimum. I give him plenty of chew toys. He's going next month to Champion Retrievers.

Congrats, man! I have 11 week old Boykin pup. I can't describe how he's immediately enriched my life. We're introducing him to birds Saturday after this, I'm pumped!

I can't wait. I've been hunting my whole life, but starting to really get into bow hunting. Figure it's about time to get a little insurance on some of those not so well placed shot deer.

I can barely remember when my 3 year old chocolate was that small.

What are you gonna name her?

Good looking pup. Seriously though, make sure you have enough chew toys, and they she knows they are hers.

My wife brought a foster Chocolate Lab in for about 3 days. In those short three days, she chews... Dining Rooms table including every chair, Coffee Table, side of door jam, and case moulding on 4 windows.

Grand total of ~$2500

Good luck

My 8 year old chocolate lab has never chewed up anything that wasn't given to him. If you give him a stuffed animal he will destroy it but if my son leaves one laying around he won't touch it.

When the wife keeps asking her for another puppy and says how little trouble a puppy would be, I keep explaining to her how lucky we were with the one we have now.

The trick to puppy problems, is getting 2. They entertain each other, keeping the destruction to a minimum. Remember a tired pup is a happy pup, exercise is key. good luck!
