At least 1,500 people have not yet been traced who are known to have come into contact with others confirmed or suspected to be infected with the haemorrhagic fever, Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) told The Telegraph.

The current outbreak is the worst ever. So far 467 people have died and health staff have identified at least 292 other suspected or confirmed cases.
Ebola is transmitted by coming into contact with bodily fluids of an infected person. It has no cure and as many as 90 per cent of its victims die, often from uncontrollable internal and external bleeding.
if nearly everybody in Africa died.....how would it be re-colonized and would it thrive?

Does anything good come out of Africa? Every time you look around there is another massive humanitarian/war crisis.

This virus, although very deadly, requires really close contact to be contracted.
The discoverer of the virus even said himself that being on a bus with someone that has ebola isn't enough to contract it.

The other day on NPR they were saying it spreads because of poor sewerage practices and because people stick to traditional burial customs, which involve eating a meal in the presence of the dead body. because of that it tends to wipe out entire families.
