-----------------------
FCD defeats Carolina 5-2 and Chicago defeats Atlanta 3-1.

FCD will face Philly at home in the next round.

_____________________________________________
Philly beat New England 2-0 last night. The game was halted in the 61st minute due to rain and lightning. Sebastian Le Toux scored his 14th USOC goal which makes him the top goal scorer in the tourney's modern history. ('95-now)

Philly will face the winner of Carolina/FCD.

In other news

Carolina/FCD will be streamed live on NASLLive.com and WRALsportsfans.com

NASLLive has a deal where you can to a free 3 day trial (that auto-renews for $5 if you dont cancel).

A Carolina fan over at BigSoccer says the WRAL feed shoudl be better than the NASL one though

Yeah, I can't find any signs of any streams for the other three matches.

I thought all US Open Cup matches were streamed on youtube.

Did I just make that up?

yep

its actually kind of surprising (and sad) that the oldest tourney in the US gets almost zero coverage considering a spot in CONCACAF Champions League is up for grabs.

it seems like the NASL and USL Pro teams are the only ones that even promote the games with any sincerity.

Seattle/Portland will be played at Starfire Soccer Complex instead of Century Link for example.

MLS teams can't double their ticket prices when NASL and USL Pro teams come to town

yea but that doesnt mean you practically ignore promoting the games until the finals the way MLS squads seem to do.

shite, Portland and Seattle are playing their quarterfinal at a 4,500k venue this year. Seattle did the same with San Jose in the 5th round.

scuttlebutt on twitter has people pointing fingers at both Philly and US Soccer for the game not streaming tonight.

Something about graphics packages not being available. I dunno. Sounds like a bunch of bullshite excuses to me.

In other news, Philly is up 2-0 on NE @ the 61' mark.

Currently in a weather delay and its been raining w/lightning and high winds up there.
