Reoccurring stys in left eye

I haven't ever had to deal with stys before... In over 30 years, no stys... But lately (the last few months) I've been getting them in only my left eye... Nothing has changed in my diet/lifestyle...
What gives?

Keep your hands off your face.

Allergies or a dusty work environment.
I've been fighting stys for the past few years.
I went to an eye doctor, and he told me a sty results from blocked glands on the edge of the eyelid. Wiping with a warm washcloth will usually pop them. He also said to clean my eyelids twice a day with these:

Start putting your right shoe on first. It should clear up in three days.

Thing is, I've not had them EVER... And now it's three in as many months.
I understand "how" they occur, and yes, a hot wash cloth typically helps alleviate them, but why now??

Gotta clean the jizz out your eye quicker, like run to the bathroom right after your bf pops

Styes, or chalazia, come from blepharitis, an inflammation of the eyelids and eyelashes. It likely isn't because of dust or dirt or anything else in your home or work environment. It's basically an overgrowth of the natural bacteria on your lids causing the glands to become blocked.
Treatment: warm compresses 3-4 times daily...this helps open the pores. Then get some lid scrubs OTC from the drug store. The most popular ones are made by ocusoft. Use those after using the warm compresses.
If the blepharitis is severe, you may need some antibiotic drops or ointment, so see an ophthalmologist if they keep recurring. Sometimes, the styes don't respond to treatment, and they need to be incised.
Disclaimer: Of course, no one can diagnose you over the internet, so this advice may or may not help you. Go to the eye doctor.

My neighbor is an ophthalmologist. The first one I had, she gave me steroid eye drops and said I may need pill-form antibiotics.
Thankfully, it dissipated before pills were necessary... They don't hurt so much, they're just uncomfortable.

If it's tender, it's a stye, which is an active bacterial infection. If it's not tender any longer, and is just a bump, it's referred to as a chalazion, which typically responds better being incised. If it's recurrent, you probably should see an oculoplastics doc to rule out sebaceous cell carcinoma.

If your left eye deceives you, pluck it out.

Crazy shite, I have the same issue, same eye too. I was told it's allergies, yet somehow these allergies haven't existed for the previous years of my life? Anyway, just wipe your eyelids with a good cleaner like posted before and when you shower, get some tear free baby shampoo to clean your eyes with. I've been good ever since.
