I have a basic Anderson manufacturing lower, DD LPK, and a 4-12x40 Nikon scope. I need an upper for all of that to go on.

DD option 3 would be the way to go imho. Love the CHF barrels and their new DDMK12 SPR is absolutely amazing.

I'd get which ever one is the lightest.

Has anyone used the DD 18" barrel yet, curious to see how it stacks up against a good stainless barrel.

I think I'm a bigger fan of the BCM. Watch the rail sizes and weights, the 18in is already pretty heavy, rail space is a way to cut down on it.

I've never owned a stainless barrel...what are the main differences than a normal CHF barrel?

Without getting a ton into it.

SS is more accurate.
CHF will last longer.

Yes. If you wanted to just buy seperate stuff, I would go SS on the barrel. Shilen makes some awesome heavy contour barrels with just polished SS.

12x scope? Seems like you want a heavy barrel.

This.

Stick with a tubular hand guard that doesn't have permanent rail space. You surely won't be using all of it if the upper is already 18 inches long.

So which of those 4 do you suggest based upon your suggestion, being that none list the weights

That BCM looks like it has the keymod system, should be lighter than the other quad rails.

Looks like BCM is the route I will go. Costs come out pretty evenly since its $750 vs $850 but the BCM at $750 doesn't include a BCG and CH

It only takes like 45 minutes if you are slow. Just do it already.
