Is there any recourse for scratched DVD's?

So I'm obviously paying $20 a pop for the artistry of these disney films my kids throw around and not just the plastic disc they come on. Is there any way to get a new copy of the material I purchased once they look like my kids have some how cleaned them with steel wool?

Buy blu rays. They have a protective cover layer. Or download.

You can buy a DVD repair kit off of amazon. A local video store had one and it worked great. You can choose to polish and clean or insert a compound and resurface... its like a light grit polishing compound.
Do what I do. Every kids movie we buy and I put the original copy up in a box and the kids can scratch the copy until their little hearts arecontent

A lot of video rental places that are still around , as well as some libraries, will have a scratch remover that they will fix them with for a small fee.
Not really worth it but you can try that if you don't want to either buy a new copy or download and burn one.
If you download a torrent you can burn a copy very easily with a program called Convert to X, which you can also get off of a torrent site.
